Our Commitment to Accessibility
Immanuel Lutheran Church is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive online experience and are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website for all users.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we actively seek to identify, address, and resolve accessibility barriers as part of our regular website management and improvement processes.
Accessibility Standards
Our website is designed and maintained with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, which are widely recognized as the international standard for web accessibility.
We incorporate accessibility considerations into our design, development, and content practices to support compatibility with common assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Ongoing Accessibility Efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time project. Our approach includes:
- Applying accessibility best practices during site updates and content changes
- Periodic reviews using a combination of automated tools and manual testing
- Ongoing improvements as standards, technologies, and user needs evolve
This process-based approach reflects our commitment to continuous improvement rather than static compliance at a single point in time.
Third-Party Content & Limitations
While we work to ensure accessibility across our website, some content or functionality may be provided by third-party platforms or services that are outside of our direct control. In such cases, we encourage vendors to provide accessible solutions and seek alternatives when feasible.
