Pastor Bob Lewis

Pastor Bob Lewis is a native of Portland, Oregon. After responding to God’s call to a seminary education, Pastor Bob spent one year at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, then transferred to Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served his pastoral internship at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During his years at seminary, Pastor Bob served as student body president and worked in the development (fundraising) office. After graduating from Luther Northwestern, Pastor Bob went to his first call, a term call to the Knox Lutheran Parish, two very small rural congregations in northwestern Pennsylvania which have since closed. At First Lutheran Church of Ellicott City, Maryland Pr. Bob served as associate pastor for youth and family; he also took part in a building program there. From Maryland Pastor Bob was called as co-pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockville Centre, Long Island, New York. He then served as associate pastor at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood, Minnesota. Returning to the Pacific Northwest, Pastor Bob was called to serve as redevelopment pastor of Nativity Lutheran in Renton, Washington. From Nativity he was called to serve Faith Lutheran in Redmond, Washington. In 2018 Pastor Bob accepted the call of St Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein, Iowa to serve as pastor. Pastor Bob and spouse Pastor Kathleen Anderson are a clergy couple in the ELCA. Pastor Kathleen is a native of Longview, Washington, and is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Luther Northwestern Seminary and Luther Seminary. Pastor Kathleen has served numerous term and interim calls in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Minnesota, Iowa, and Northwest and Central Washington. She is currently serving in the Northwest Intermountain Synod of the ELCA as a Transition Minister at First Lutheran Church of Pasco. Pastor Kathleen resides in Pasco, Washington with her dog, Goldie. Hobbies and interests for Pastor Bob include: family systems theory, genealogy and ancestry; biking; dogs; reading; letter writing; and following a few sports – NHL hockey, anything WSU Cougars and Iowa State Cyclones, the Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners.
