Pastor Anne Palma

Anne Palma, our Interim Pastor, joined Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1994 when she moved to Boise with her family to continue her career as an internal medicine physician serving with the Department of Veterans Affairs. During the final six and a half years of her medical career, she limited her practice to hospice and palliative care medicine. Under the Spirit's guidance, through Pastor Julie Blum and Pastor Neal Collins at Immanuel, Anne discerned a call to ordained ministry. She earned a Master of Divinity at Luther Seminary and was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Epiphany, January 6, 2018. She served her first call at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Twin Falls. During the summer of 2021, she served as village pastor for Holden Village, a ministry of the Northwest Intermountain Synod in Chelan, Washington. In the midst of the pandemic, she began to dabble with watercolors. She and her spouse Romney enjoy travel, daydreaming, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
