Rev. Gretchen Bingea
Immanuel Pastor

Pastor Gretchen has served the Lutheran Church in congregations and campus ministry in California, Iowa and Michigan before her call to Immanuel began in January 2016. A native of Minneapolis, she graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College and received her Master of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. Two grown sons live in Houston and Tucson. She and husband Will Campbell enjoy biking the Greenbelt, hiking in the foothills with their dog Guido, and watching movies at Flicks. They feel very much at home in Boise and look forward to exploring beautiful Idaho.

Val Hanks
Financial Secretary

Val moved to Idaho with her family from Connecticut in 2000. She became a member of Immanuel in 2001.

She has been the Financial Secretary since November 2006 and enjoys working on the Social Ministry Committee and Memorial Committee.

“Charlie”, her loyal canine companion was adopted from the Canyon County Shelter. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading and going to the movies.

Debbie Jones
Choir Director

I am married to Charlie, for 26 years, have a daughter, Nicole Jones Kopp (married to Bryan Kopp), our granddaughter Lyla Kopp and son, Tim Jones (Jr at NNU this fall). I will be starting my 7th year teaching choir at Meridian High this fall.  I taught piano and organ privately for nearly 20 years. I have been actively involved in worship & music since I was 13 yrs old, accompanying and directing various choirs and children's music, lead and played in hand bell choirs, played the organ for services, weddings and funerals as well as playing the guitar & leading The Chicago Folk Service for many years. I graduated with a BA in Education with a Minor in Music from ONU in Ada, Ohio.


Tony Rheault

Tony Rheault and his wife Abby moved to Boise in 2009.  They had lived in Fargo, ND for 50 years before finding "The Promised Land". Tony has been involved with Liturgical Music since high school.  He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a B.S. in Music Education.  He worked full-time as Liturgist/Music Director for churches in North Dakota and Minnesota for 6 years.  He directed "Gospel Voices", a community gospel choir for 7 years in the Fargo-Moorhead area.  Tony changed his career path to Software Development in 1994 and has been a Programmer/Analyst for Idaho Fish and Game since the Fall of 2009.  Tony has two children, Gabriel (Fargo, ND) and Alex (Boise, ID).  He also enjoys his love of music through performing with local musical groups.
