Bylaw C13.06.03: There shall be a Committee on Evangelism. This committee shall stimulate and lead all members of the congregation in continuous and, from time to time, concerted endeavors to reawaken the spiritually indifferent and to reach others, who are as yet unwon, with the Gospel and attach them to Christ's Church. To this end, the committee shall devote itself to deepening spiritual life and shall periodically study the congregation in the context of its surrounding community.

New Member Shepherds
Act as stewards and “shepherds” to new members and frequent visitors to Immanuel through action:
  • Provide Welcome Baskets to new and freqent visitors.  The basket might contain a coffee mug, literature about Immanuel (including a welcome letter from pastor), coffee and a loaf of bread.
  • Arrange a New Member Service two times a year in order to identify and celebrate new members at Immanuel.
  • Act as the first point of contact for new members. Seek to greet these families and individuals to make them feel welcome, connecting them with other members, inviting them to coffee hour or other church functions such as Dinners For 8.
Dinners for Eight
Foster friendships and connections between members through a rotating dinner club. Members will be divided into small groups (about 8 adults per group) and asked to share a meal.
Lenten Soup Suppers
Support the Lenten services by providing a meal before each service.
